It feels so good to reach Kerala early this morning after a love hate relationship with a two night train journey. Minus people snoring, babies crying and highly suspect loos, the train ride was so good.

The view was absolutely amazing with lush green paddy fields, thick rain forests and breath taking waterfalls. But I couldn’t take any pictures because of the air conditioned area of the train. I felt so disappointed but can’t wait to take some pictures today.

The only thing annoying is that people stare a lot, especially if you have short hair like me. They are always trying to guess if you are a girl or a boy. How can an Indian girl have short hair? It’s a crime I tell you. And I felt so awkward to clean my face so I didn’t do it. I felt so gross but people watch you do everything, so I was feeling shy. And as a reward I got a nice pimple. But anyway apart from all this, the food provided bt the train was really good. I could eat almost all of it. So no complaints there.

Couldn’t put it down.

And killing time was so easy, I was armed with my Anna Karenina, a good size to keep me company all week.

But honestly l am so glad to get off the train, legs feel as stiff as a table. Glad to stretch them out on land.

And most of all glad to be in Kerala to eat the amazing food it had to offer. And for a gluten free girl like me Kerala is one of the best places to tingle your taste buds. Can’t wait to dig in.

And this is what I had for lunch today.

The fish thali. It’s unlimited. And just for 100 rupees. How great is that!!
