If there’s one thing my college mates know me for, it’s my allergies and the other is my rice noodle dish. Oops that’s two, right? Continue reading “This Yummy Recipe for Gluten-free is the Best”
Hello my lovely babble juicers,
I know it has been a few days since I have posted anything. I have been down with a very bad cold again and I have spent quite some time in bed. But I am so glad that I am feeling so much better now.
For some reason, when I am ill, I feel so hungry that I could eat anything. But I especially crave for fried and salty snacks. Not a good combination. So I have been finding ways that I can snack but still make some healthy choices. But you know, I am not an extremist so the odd potato chip or should I confess, bag of chips keeps me sane. Methi or fenugreek is probably one of my favourite green vegetables that I enjoyed even as I child.
I gave my mum a very hard time growing up being a terribly fussy eater but I always loved methi with potatoes. It’s a good way to add some more greens to your plate with this recipe I am sharing with you. Continue reading “Methi Ki Sabji – Vegetarian Fenugreek Side Recipe”
If you haven’t yet heard of Chelsea Winter and her amazing cookbooks, you have now. She has some of the most amazing recipes I can’t wait to try, especially her Crazy Italian Chocolate Cake. Continue reading “Chelsea Winter’s Gluten, Egg and Dairy Free Chocolate Cake Recipe”

In a bid to eat better and healthier, I bought some beetroot to have just raw as a snack. I know what you’re thinking, who in their right mind eats beets as snacks. Believe it or not I actually like it, it tastes good to me, which is why I buy only three at a time so I can eat them immediately while they’re still fresh. And beetroot is so good for you, high in fibre, folate and iron (great for us ladies). So more reasons to eat them, I just thinly peel the skin, cut it like an apple and shove it in my mouth. Actually I am chomping on some while writing this. Continue reading “What In The World Are Beet Greens And What To Do With Them”
here are so many reasons why I love Amazon.in. Not only do they have great offers on so many of things, they also have a small selection of gluten-free products that I love to buy, especially their rice noodles. And the best part is that they taste really good and so affordable as well. One box of Real Thai noodles gave me about eight or nine lunches out of it. I think it’s pretty worth it. To start with, why am I sharing a recipe that I can’t even eat? But I do like to bake for my family and I don’t like to share my gluten-free goodies (I am the only one, you see, so I like to have it all to myself). At the same time, I am not a mean person, so that’s why I make general cakes with gluten and eggs for my family. And everyone loves it, Mum, Dad and even Gran. And if you’re one of those who are really nervous when it comes to baking. This recipe is for you. It was my first and it turned out so well that I was excited to try others.
All you egg haters, this is for you. If you can’t eat eggs or are allergic to it like me, I recently discovered two great egg substitutes that you can use in your baking. Two things, Chia and Flax.
If you can get chia seeds or even flax seeds, try using them instead of eggs, they work really well and the best part is no one will ever know. Continue reading “Egg Schmegg”
